Re: pub rock south England 1970s

Re: 1969 Jensen Interceptor drivetrain upgrade
That is super low rpm, you can see from the power curve that it has not peaked at all. I'm not a big block guy, but that cam seems too large if you don't want to go above 5000rpm. Or put another way, with that cam you need to keep going up the rpm range - even the comp cams specs for it say 1800-600...

Re: Cortina MK3 V8 Mopar
Rope trick worked perfectly for me on a small block. I always worried that using compressed air could create an issue if the keeper was sticky and the spring compressor opened the valve a little, then all the air would escape. If the piston was at BDC (which seems likely with the compressed air in t...

If you subscribe to MotorTrend on Demand, they did the Explorer axle in a duster (?) thing on a recent episode of Hot Rod Garage. Def worth a look.
If not, I think they make one months video free every month so possibly available

Speedmaster 40% off sale (ends today!)
Just happened to come across this posted on a US forum. There are some pretty serious deals, I can't vouch for the parts and have not had time to do any digging, but I share it in case anyone is interested - you'll need to act fast. Some of these it would be hard to go wrong with......others like cr...

Re: No internal combustion by 2030 - FBHVC response.
I'll reproduce what I posted in the last thread about this because it's the same I would say here. I wouldn't hasten the end of IC engines! The transition to electric will take quite a while, and even once the battery technology is adequate (charge times/range/weight) the infrastructure to support t...

Re: Slap Stick replacement
The gate is fine, it is just the plastic bit falls into two pieces and the lock out button then pings across the car with the tiny spring. The shift action is fine, but you cannot slap it, only move it gently. Yes I had that when I first owned my car. I tried a few repairs and even made a billet al...
