Thanks guys..... definitely like the chunky black look more and more now.. rear rims are 15 x 10 with a 5.5" backspace with 275/60 tyres for which there is not much choice in the UK... The rims were bought originally for the 70 Roadrunner but they were too tight on the rear arches so decided to...

Wow time flies and never enough time to post on here.... ! So by way of a small update I recently loaned the 17" Torque Thrusts wheels to my youngest lad to try them out on the 1970 Challenger.... so I decided to see what the Bassett D Hole 15" steel rims would look like with 60 profile ty...

Thanks Justin for looking.... the replacement ones from Rock Auto are just plain and there are different ones depending on 10 or 11 inch drums being used - mine are 11's..... What car do you think yours have come off ? I'll also have a search around Rock Auto and see if can spot them off another mop...

Well the problem turned out to be easily explained once I took off the drum from the noisy side and found these two pieces grinding around inside. Its the cable that attaches to the self adjusting rachet mechanism.... and the diff had plenty of oil in it as well....... mystery solved... Anyone got a...

Whip the wheel off and check the brake parts too.Sometimes a spring end can snap off and get between linings and drum. Yep will do. I was intending to get both rear drums off and check all the brakes, etc. and the oil level this coming weekend. I just thought that some LSD's can be noisy and if a S...

What does this bit do ?

Was at a car show in Florida looking at a lovely 68 Charger and notice it had this propeller shaped bar running across the front valance in front of the radiator... Mine doesn't have this? Is it really that important....?

Not been here for a while as been enjoying the charger this summer. We 'cured' this squeak by jacking up the front and drooping the suspension and squirting a can of WD40 all round the lower joints whilst working the suspension up and down with a trolley jack. Since when its been fine all summer so ...
