Re: New to the Club
Nice project
not too dented and no obvious holes from its 10 year holiday
fluids and filters
tyres
if the handbrake has been on the rears will be very very stuck
back off adjusters and see if the spring tension will peel the shoes off the drums

Re: 440 Engine build for friend
no probs only caveat with the roller rockers is aim for correct length pushrods so that a minimum of adjuster thread is sticking out below rocker. the threaded section needs the support of the rocker body. too much shear stress and i've seen pictures posted here and elsewhere of them snapped off. ob...

Re: 440 Engine build for friend
would you need to bush/restrict oil flow to the lifters as well? i know nothing about big blocks but on some motors even with retrofit roller lifters, the length of the lifter bore, the way it intersects with the oil gallery and the cam you run means that top section where the roller is i.e the &quo...

Re: Dave999's Aussie Charger
Trying to fix up the de mist and aircon unit vents Plastic manifold on the car is the wrong one. It's too fat and won't allow fitment of the diffuser The thin one necessary for the job is in a right old state They are polypropylene. I.e. pretty awkward to glue So I chopped up the fat good one, and p...

Re: What am I looking at?

Re: Aircon heater vent tube
That was the plan. Expected it to be made of poly. So armed myself with pipe glue. And discoverd it doesn't have any impact on the plastic other than making it white. Was hoping it would melt and fuse. "Affix" style. No such luck Resisting the temptation to apply the soldering iron to the ...
