Is one not a 3 speed and the other 2 speed?? (whats wrong with the 1st one?? Sadly, the 3-speed works on flexi-time. Might do two passes and then just stop. If I'm lucky it'll do three, but it does stop. I've then got to wait a short while and twist the knob back n forth to get it to go again ( for...

Both correct for a challenger (different years/possibly different assembly plants) and the bolt pattern is the same with the earth strap in the right place. Just concerned about whether I can make the wiring cooperate.

Is this possible. Will it just fit in as long as I figure the wiring out?
Has anyone done it ?

You don't need to get a flasher unit from the States, just go to your local car spares place and ask for a flasher unit for an Austin Mini. It will fit the connector on your wiring loom and will work just fine. Thanks for that - I could switch the flasher from the hazards (which I've never used) an...

The red wire goes to the indicator flasher unit and the pink wire goes to the hazard flasher unit. It sounds to me like the indicator flasher packed up and that link was fitted to use the hazard flasher for the indicators. First thing I'd do is fit a new indicator flasher unit. Bloody Genius ! You,...

I'm not being a smart-arse, but you MUST have heard the expression " trying to redesign the wheel" before ? I'd guess that there is a lot of maths in every wheel and I wouldn't mess with it - you could end up regretting it. I'm not sure they build-in "excess" on those rims. It wo...

The blue bridge box is called a scotch lock and it was connecting the two wires together. Just about the worst connector ever designed. It was not fitted by the factory for sure. I don't doubt that but by bridging these two central wires, which the old connector had done, t has to have some effect ...

What was the Black wire far left (now green) is the horn and that works, so at least I know we have connection.
It also perhaps indicates that position on the connector block is good irrespective of colour.

New turn signal not working - can it be this "box"

So, having managed to replace my broken turn signal, steering wheel on and go to test - Nada, zip, niente!!! The turn signal cancels as it should but I have no indicator lights whatsoever. The wiring colours are different but the block connector is the same so I'm slightly confused as to why not - t...

Turn signal replacement Challenger

Hi all, In an effort to tick things off the list, I busted out the "puller" and took the steering wheel off today to replace the broken turn signal (won't cancel) and try and sort out the shorting horn which I have had to disconnect as it sounds when I turn hard left. What I need to ask is...

Are we talking the "super glue" Loc-tite?
Will it bind with all the lubricants around there ?

I had an intermittent tapping noise on the Barracuda, although the flex plate bolts were tight they were actually a knats knacker too long and weren't gripping the flex plate. Ground 'em down a bit and problem solved so check that too. You Geezers have cracked it ! So, I jacked her up today and 3 o...

Cheers Matt - the more I hear it, the more likely I think it could be a bolt on the transmission. Just did 150 mile round trip to Brooklands on Saturday at average 70 mph - car performed faultlessly. I'm guessing, if it was an "expensive noise", something would've snapped, cracked or given...
