Brooklands today.

Really nice to put some faces to names today @ Brooklands. Nice collection of folk and their vehicles. If I'd have had a million quid I could've easily spent it. The Chally did the 150 mile round trip with its clicking sound but performed faultlessly- my guess is if it was going to break, it would'v...

At the mo, a sticky lifter seems to be what I think it is. Gaskets are definitely good. Hoping a good run up the M4 to Brooklands tomorrow will cure it. Need to find some "gunk" to put in there to sort it. Can I ask - what is the ramification of a stuck lifter ? Less compression as less in...

Oil level is good and oil shows no signs of anything metallic. Engine not overheating. Cannot hear it once I've got a bit o...

Yes would be easier to pull off there, cruise through and collect you. Should be about 9.40

We'll do that because I don't think there are laybys north of J15...
Yup. That's it. See you chaps then.

I think we stick with Chris's suggestion above? I'll be at the Bath junction and we'll come off at J15 north to collect you (and Justin?) around 9.30..... any others intending to convoy with us ?? I believe Justin's ride may not make it, he's trying hard to fault find, but he will be marshalling th...

Thanks all - sorted, and now that' it all straightened out, I can even feel the benefit of the new tie-rod ends on the steering. A full 4 turns loose on each.
Will take and get it properly sorted this week.
Thankful for all you knowledgable folks on here. :thumbright:

Measure between the grease nipples of the inner and outer rod ends before you strip it down, and reassemble to that length and it should not be very far out. Cheers guys off to do it now. Blue, if I had a quid for every person who gave the advice of "counting the turns"...... anyways, jus...
