i'd use tiger seal or similar to seal/glue the joins, that sticks anything to anything :thumbright:

Re: Aircon heater vent tube

it looks like the 'thin' one's been altered to fit to me. the 'fat' one looks unaltered for want of a better word. can't you alter it to match the other one?

Re: hudsen mufflers

can't you mount the new silencers back to front or are the baffles inside directional like flowmasters? if not it usually won't matter which way round they're fitted.

The repair isn’t the issue as I can reweld them easily enough, it’s that it will burn and the coating off them

Re: Heads for 318

yes but my answer was based on his choice between the original 318 heads and the 360 heads, both of which he says he already has. so of those 2 i stand by my choice to use 360 heads :thumbright: neil. Fair point. I managed to get a set of refurb 302's with the the 1.88 160 valves, ready to go for $...

Re: Heads for 318

it should be 'black friday' sale time at speedmaster soon. their ally heads are pretty close to being edelbrock copies but much cheaper. on black friday they're down to almost half price too. they have deals including the matching inlet too. :thumbright:

Re: Heads for 318

the loss of some compression with the 360 heads is more than made up by the bigger valves and port sizes. plus as mentioned there's more manifold choice for the 360 port size heads. no brainer to me. :thumbright: neil. ps your higher compression pistons will combat the loss of the 360 size chambers...
