Ive had 2 mini starters break the nose off, still have them nothing wrong with them apart from the broken off noses. Both times when it happens it felt like the engine kicked back, checked the timing and was spot on so guess it was something to do with the starter bendix jumping as the nose broke or...

And its often the easiest or simple things that are the last thing you think of, its easy to look too deep into things.

Had a 4 bed bungalow rewired about 4 years ago i think it was around 3 1/2K price was determined by how many sockets we wanted re wired as all the rooms including kitchen had about 6 double sockets, they charged X amount per socket so saved a few hundred by having them blanked off.
