The dreaded wiper fail
I have to say, when I was told the wipers didn’t work on my Coronet, my heart sank. Engine change? Sure, suspension work? No problem etc..but wipers.. Ok, I’ve read about 10 hrs of threads on failed wipers and wonder if anyone can suggest something I haven’t tried. One of the main tests is to discon...

Re: Turn signal/front side lights
Ok ta Blue. The reflector does have corrosion but where the bulb holder goes it looks ok. That said, my test showed a lack earth,
So I’ll do as you suggest, basically to make firm metal contact between bulb holder and reflector.

Re: Turn signal/front side lights
Hi Dave, thanks for info. Can’t say MOT is an issue, but I’ve managed to track down the correct offset bulbs along with some other parts I need from Rockauto. Hoping that will put this to bed.

Re: Turn signal/front side lights
Thanks Derek, I’m sure the bulb is wrong, doesn’t have offsets. I also used a test wire which established that the bulb holder isn’t earthed. A double reason why it’s wrong. I’ll get the right bulb and try again.
Any idea who stocks them? Google search threw up nothing in the UK

Turn signal/front side lights
My Coronet has no front side lamps working at the moment. Rears are fine and I have indicators on one side (both rear fine), swapped bulbs front to rear and no change. The other issue is that the twin filament bulb doesn’t seem to fit properly, or at all in the bulb holder. Anyone had this issue and...

Re: Floyd Brothers 70 Challenger
Just fitting a set of gauges too, Stu. The coolant tube to sender runs down the inlet manifold as there is no other option.

Re: Pulley problems
It was all the same Blue. I’ve included a pic of the 318 set up as it was in the car before, it shows the water pump pulley sittin behind the crank pulley whic I cant establish now. I’ve used a spacer under the crank pulley which has bought me some minor clearance, but I know need to take a Drexel t...

Pulley problems
Hi all, just conversing a 318 to 360 in my Coronet and having pulley problems. Basically the AC type pulley from the 318 catches on the water pump pulley. The outer ring/groove overlaps the water pump pulley. I can’t understand why as no such problem existed on the 318 when running. Al the grooves l...

Re: 1967 Dodgy Coronet
Hi Neil, yes I had the correct new flex plate. Third time I’ve done a 360, so I’ve come across and sorted most of the oddities that get thrown up. I hope

Re: 1967 Dodgy Coronet
Big weekend with Mopar mates helping out. Old 318 motor removed and 360 dropped in. It was quite a faff as the motor brackets or the flex plate to convertor would keep snagging. Tried various angles for about 45 mins until I decided it was time to ditch the engine mounts. That allowed me to bolt the...

Re: 1967 Dodgy Coronet
Been very busy this week. Old motor ready to come out and new one just about ready to go in. Elsewhere I’ve fitted new heavy duty shox, scavenged up most of an exhaust system, albeit with axle dumps. Fitted a nice Canton oil filter plate and lots more fettling. Motors should be swapped on Saturday a...

Re: 1967 Dodgy Coronet
Hi Neil, I already have a mild 360 and a Blue built 904 for the motor, plus some uprated suspension parts to go in it. The brakes are all new and steering seems good, so it’s electrics and some bodywork tidying to come after the drivetrain transplant.

1967 Dodgy Coronet
Well, I seem to get a bit of stick for chopping and changing my cars over time, but life’s too short for one car. At every drag event I’ve been too I’ve always loved the mid sixties B body Mopar, pre ‘68 for me and I love the Super Stock signwritten cars. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I took a chanc...
