Now thats a bit of 'history' that most car owners never have to deal with. Tricky one that isnt it ? Although if herself demands it, not THAT tricky !
Probably best not to know...

Re: Shoulder belts
Yeah - Its shamefully been on my never-never list for ages. (You know, the list of great things to do that I never get round to!). I put 3pt in the rear ages ago with huge steel anchor points etc but somehow left the ragged old original belts in the front. Worse than that I only tend to use the 'lap...

Re: Shoulder belts
Ooh ! Look what arrived today ? Dont you love packages from America...? This is the XV racing products B-body 3pt conversion kit. Waiting to see if the customs charge and 'uninvited handling fee' rocks up now too. First glance, looks really nice. Proof will be in the fitting I guess. You can see the...

Re: FBHVC clarifies the introduction of E10 petrol for historic vehicle owners
The most worrying thing is the first sign could be 'woof!' as a perfectly functional fuel system becomes a flamethrower after rotting from inside.
I have been on Esso99 for a while, but I dont know what state things are in my tubes now. Worrying.

Re: Alternator wiring
From memory when I went through this I think it depends whether you have electronic ignition or points. I seem to recall you can ground out one of the field wires to make it work like a 2 pin alternator. There's plenty of info about, but dont worry - it can be done easy enough. http://www.dodgecharg...

Re: New starter or rebuild it?
Buy a new mini starter, you won't look back. :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: Will turn it over twice as fast - amazing things. There are various, some cheap-as and some expensive. I broke an expensive one and am currently running a cheap one and cane see any difference - Dave999 knows more t...

I mean, wow. Thats a lot of pinpoint accuracy there - what a thing to weld.
Amazing Will. I mean utterly bananas, but as madness goes yours is just epic.

Re: 68-70 Charger trunk extensions
Well I had a crawl around; its quite tricky to see (bits of mud, grass and melty-rubber) but I scraped a bit off and it looks like mine doesnt actually have the double-lip like your pic. Far as I can see they cut off the old extensions (cut the rotten bits out I guess) and then put the new quarters ...

Re: Dehumidifiers.
I dont see how dehumidifiers will work unless in a sealed environment? Surely the air in the garage will just try and balance out with the natural environment outside the door? As soon as you turn the thing off it must be a matter of hours before its back to ambient? I guess its ok its in 24/7 but ...

Mines had a floor at some point but happy to post a pic if you show me exactly which bit ? They only spot welded it from beneath in some parts but I think its sealed.
Post a pic, I'll check it out...

Dehumidifiers.
Morning team. Whats the verdict on dehumidifiers ? Since Charger moved from an integral warm/dry house garage (I dunno, something about wanting more space for PEOPLE or something, so she had to go to a different garage. "But how will I say goodnight ??? " Deaf ears... ) I've been thinking ...
