If I remember this correctly -still not 100% with everything myself yet. When you are editing a post there is a tab down below that says 'attachments'. Yes. Cables a bit short to work it's way round to the correct position without fouling the window and the mechanism as well so guess its leave as is - at least for now.

Thanks Alan, I'll have a look into whether the fixings for GM ones can be had. Still need to check that the control cables can fit around all the window mechanism without catching. The lever does work the mirror, the panel though is indeed a replacement.
I guess at some point someone has had a bit of an issue (probably when replacing the panel) and damaged the thread / knocked it off.
