Re: Master cylinder for Scarebird brakes
Still got the teacher skills mate. Yes, full manual and I belive there is jiggery pokers sometimes necessary with the the push rod. I like the adjustable one my Roadrunner had: did it a bit tight and brakes stuck on after the first push

Re: Master cylinder for Scarebird brakes
Thanks Dave, good stuff as usual. Didn’t realise how big the Ram M/C was. I have read that a 1 1/8” will suffice, it as you say, it’s making it compatible and yes, I’ll be having a proportioning valve fitted. I’d use Dr Diff, but he doesn’t list a 1 1/8”. Im looking for a decent pedal and it seems i...

Master cylinder for Scarebird brakes
I’ve recently acquired an old stock Scarebird disc brake conversion kit for my Coronet. Looking at various US threads on the topic I’m concerned about what master cylinder to choose. The kit uses the large Dodge Ram calipers which are about the biggest available. Just wondering if anyone has done a ...

Re: 1967 Dodgy Coronet
Thanks guys, been out again today. Really smooth at highway speeds, although the gears/converter seem a bit mismatched pulling from a stop. 318 convertor with a 360 motor may be inducing a little more stall than I’d like, but it’s not stopped me enjoying the car. Just won’t be racing it! Matt, it wa...

Re: 1967 Dodgy Coronet
Haven’t posted here in months so should update. Some of my paranoid ranting has been on FB sites, but in sum. I like the car. Finally. It’s been a bastad at times. If you ever buy a barn find. Don’t. Unless you have much greater skills/budget than me and I humbly defer to those who do. Anyway, car i...

Re: SIMPLIFY YOUR LIFE
I think Guy has a nice spot out there, always like Norwich from when I was in my East Anglia days. No need to leave that.

Re: SIMPLIFY YOUR LIFE
I took the decision to retire early and take a gamble. I ended up hating my job and spent too much time stressing and commuting and not enough time surfing. Made me wonder why I’d moved to Newquay only to commute to another town every day for 20+ years. I’ve got less money, but all the time in the w...

Re: Turn signal/front side lights
I haven’t actually solved this yet due to other jobs, but I tried to run solder around the bulb holder and it wouldn’t take. Strange thing is, I have opposite functioning lights on the front, Passenger side only has indicator on (no side lamp) Driver side has only side lamp (no indicator) A bit conf...

Good on you Nige, it was good to catch up with you at the Nats. I’ll take a look at the YouTube channel too.
Btw, I’m happy to be back in Moparland, but must say, that little Fox Body you sold me was a belter and gave me one of the most enyoyable road trips I’ve taken

Yes, suprised about the seats myself. I did find the dimensions for original bucket seats online and it’s not that different except modern seats have more side cushion.
