Special fuel, oil, tyres, electrical contacts, and yes, they couldn't get the fuel tanks to seal so they dripped whilst cold. Get Rich Graham's book which has 'stories' from the crews . . . if you think Muscle cars can be a bit unreliable and let you down, these high tech blow torches had some real ...

The SR-71 . . . I have to say, even better than a Mopar. Done in the early 1960's by less than 100 Skunk Works engineers using slide rules and lot s of Russian titanium . . . where is your Ti from ?! Check my profile picture. The only one outside of the US sitting at IWM Duxford. Time it right and y...

That looks absolutely stunning (not to mention the 440+6 and matching numbers bit !) . . . hell, even the panel fit of the hood leading edge is authentic ! (or is it on the safety catch ?) I'm just massively jealous. The closest I'll come to matching that is my 18th scale ERTL - mind you, I have the...

I see no reason why not ; the rear light panel detail must have changed as the rear lights changed from the 1970 originals.

Thank you Martin and Simon ; I particularly like page 5 !! I better explain that I wrote those words last December otherwise people may think they have Christmas on 25 June in India . . . er . . . which they don't. Download works great, saving printing, paper and Postie's shoes. Thanks for including...

You guys have pretty much confirmed what I thought. Spent this evening with some foam strip trying to block it up. However, it struck me that on 'modern cars' you have some form of cabin air exhaust - these days hidden behind the rear bumper moulding with non-return letterbox type flaps to let air o...

Challenger trunk sealing

Could any kind soul with a '70 Challenger have a look at the rear light panel on their car from inside the trunk and tell me if they can see daylight around all 4 rear light (and centre reverse light) body apertures. Mine came with brand new light assemblies but I cant help thinking there should be ...

Wheelchair ; steel frame, triple black, convertible (bring golf brolly) original chrome wheels, painless wiring (as there is none !) runs low 1,800's at 3 mph in the quarter. Fantastic gas mileage. Stiff suspension. Manual ! No tax.

Thanks Carl - that's why I'm torn between BVR and No BVR . . . Perhaps I ought to tape some black bin liners to it just to see what it looks like ! The thing that does bother me is that the bright trim becomes a great rust trap if you're not very careful and it's not a very 'reversible' mod' if it g...

Clarification ; I originally spelled Challenger without the 'g' in the main title and was directed on how to edit it - which I did. Hence some of the 'jolly' banter. The side stripes are 1971 - not 1970 . . but my take on that is that they look better (probably what the Dodge Design Studio thought a...
