is there a way of checking if a lifter is collasping ,,got a ticking sound coming from engine ,going to retighten the header bolts to eliminate the exhaust ..
this is after the head gasket went and the noise is coming from that side

james the sneaky way i bleed my willwood brakes that have four nipples is i use fish tank air hose and the t connectors amd join the hose into one piece then straight into a bottle ...plus i use one way bleed nipples

yes mate .blew on weakest point on the gasket by the water inlet on no5 cylinder that was full of coolant ...no wonder so much steam was coming out the drivers side ,could have made a cup coffee with all the steam :D all back up and running ,plus did a upgrade on cooling system and put a ally rad an...

bit of a late reply for this thread lol :D what a cracking weekend, great company all weekend fri night very good laugh sat night .thats the first time ever have been chucked out the bar cos it was closing ..what the :shock: we was still drinking lol roll on next year oh and did a bit of that racing...
