Re: Hello From the North "Sheffield" UK
All Done I must admit, am a bit anal on paint and body work, the bonnet alone to me about 50 hours to prep I didnt like the ford panel gaps.So I made shims for the door hinges to make all the door and wing gaps nice.

Re: Hello From the North "Sheffield" UK
Is that the car you are proposing to put the SBM in?
if so I have three options I would recommend,
1: leave it as it is
2: leave it as it is
and 3: leave it as it is
Of course it's your car and you can do what you want with it, but I cant help thinking such a beautiful car should be left as is and the SBM would if anything de value that.
If you MUST have the mopar V8 rumble, why not look at the 63 dart Skippy has for sale- £6000 absolute BARGAIN!!!

That GXL is stunning, reminds me of one my dad had from new, his was dark blue.
I too thought the greeen one looked too good to put a 318 in, but I can see where you are going now!

Thank you Mat
I wanted to make a better than original car, but I built a monster, as I couldn't leave the car anywhere with out 5hittig myself
This one will be a lot different to anything I have built before..
Re: Hello From the North "Sheffield" UK
Hi,
Some lovely cars there you've had. Loved the Audi & the green Mk3, I remember seeing your Mk3 on the MTOC site and being in awe at the level of detail (I'm a fellow Mk3 owner!)
Some similarities here, I toyed with dropping a v8 in when I restored my Cortina 10 years ago, bought a Fox Mustang for the 302 motor/T5 box & axle but changed my mind & kept it standard (ish).
I have now seen the light however & (although I still have the Cortina & love old Fords) have been drawn towards the Mopar circle & am now restoring a 68 Barracuda.
Thought you might like to see a few pics of My 'Tina attached. Looking forward to seeing how the project progresses. A Cortina with a proper V8- spot on! I'm from just outside Sheffield as well by the way.
