I'm a survivor!!!!

Post by Pete »

Following on from another thread.......

What constitutes a "Survivor"???

My '64 Polara is a one owner (apart from me) car, build sheet, completely standard, BUT, it has had one re-paint in its life, not sure if the air in the tyres are original....

Any views...

Lovely car Pete,BUT BORING,so what if its a survivor, its a Grannys car,Give the car what it deserves,Big block,Dana, the works, theres a million other Boring so called survivor cars.
Now if it was a 71 cuda 440+6 or Hemi blahdyblah,I would say that wants leaving as is,but saying that,I like the cool cars with some History.
Ive returned a few car from racer to stock, easy, its harder to make a slow car fast

Interestingly,My 1974 challenger, which as been a racecar from the day it rolled out of the plant,as 0000.7 miles on the speedo, used only for 4 years, then stored, until Dunc purchased it in 2017,would have been the easy to return to the stock,brown,318,auto,white interior,no rust to contend with, but that would have been boring too,so ive rebuilt it,as a racecar =D>

Yes, Dave but that car has a racing history - not many of the "Race" cars in this country have that... a slightly different scenario...

Anyway, the "SloPar" is the only car that I have that actually works!!

Doesn't matter what you call it Pete, it's a lovely car. If it was mine I would leave it just the way it is. You already have a race car :D

I am an under-achiever and it would only be a mere 440 standard port, old chap - it does not have to be matching numbers either!!

I have a pair of matched Holley carbs brand new for a Mopar crossram manifold. I will dig out the list numbers if anyone’s interested.
