I have returned

Post by Bratfink »

Hello all.... again. :salute:

Laura and I are still in Detroit area. I am no longer at Ford, about 2 years ago I was poached to lead the aerodynamics group at Rivian.

No surprise to any of you that my project cars are still unfinished. Every time I find time to work on one I find an excuse to work on something else.

Looks like we are sitting Bonneville out again this year, the event is on, but we don’t fancy it with the chaos. Let’s hope 2021 is a better year.

I’ll put a bigger post together with all my projects at some point. Just wanted to say hi first.
I am coming to believe a 56mph speed record is harder to achieve than a 400mph one!

Not my most recent one, or my original account. I still see posts from my most recent account. But all my old stuff I see attributed to “anonymous”.

Welcome back, it was great to see you all for real at Santa Pod last year and get a flavour of how life is in the US.
I assume with the barn build that you are not planning on moving back to the UK anytime soon!

The truck that Mandie was hunting for when we spoke last year is now a reality and running, a 1957, 3200 long bed, step side with corvette front clip, Camaro back axle, 305 SBC and TH400, UK registered and ratty black.

I tried finding your account to reactivate but failed somehow. Posts remain as anonymous if the user was deleted, which did happen on occasions when members were inactive for a long time.

Thanks for checking Matt, no big deal if we can’t reactivate the old account.

I saw a couple of FB pics of the truck, looks great!
