Re: Canada Trip
Looks fab Martin, thanks for the update. Oh and a belated Happy Xmas!
Re: Canada Trip
Some photos of the K frame and engine going together prior to uniting it with the body. The whole assembly will be fitted from underneath as the factory did originally. One advantage of having the engine fitted to the K frame along with the steering box is we were able to trial fit the headers. Although we ordered the headers in bare steel they actually turned up ceramic coated in silver and also hit on the steering box. It was decided to send them back to be modified or replaced with a set in bare steel, the plan being to have them ceramic coated in black once we know they fit properly.

Thanks Blue, as I said going for a Day Two look. Still undecided on a wheel tyre combo but period aftermarket.
Re: Canada Trip
As this is clearly not a penny pinching exercise, may I suggest a restored set of Keystone Kustomags?

I’ve been looking at lots of back in the day pictures and Cragars certainly seemed to be the wheel of choice. Tyre selection is another thing, you can get Firestone Wide Oval tyres in a radial which I quite like the look of as the tread pattern looks fairly period.

Re: Canada Trip
It seems to me that the main thing (especially in winter) is the quality of the car's grip on the road, and not the tread pattern. Although everyone has their own requirements and wishes. Someone's drawing is also important.SAV@RPM wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 21 11:55 am I’ve been looking at lots of back in the day pictures and Cragars certainly seemed to be the wheel of choice. Here are a few detail photos as the car starts going back together. We have tried to avoid using reproduction parts wherever possible and this has meant tracking down many original Chrysler parts that were missing and reconditioning them as required.

Re: Canada Trip
Will be an absolute stunner when finished, I would hate to think of the hours, upon hours to research, locate, refurbish missing parts
