I think it started to go down the pan when the Ace changed our date from a sunny June evening to a cold and damp March, their loss.

Re: Mid Summer Mopar at The Ace cafe London, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008,
ah them were the days
sunny
Burgers and cups o tea
people could be arsed to turn up....
did we have one year where it was a Saturday afternoon that coincided with Chelsea i.e aligned with the pre Chelsea meet
i seem to remember a mad dash through Kensington behind scott in a long train of Mopars.
or was that just a message board arranged Ad-Hoc thing...

Re: Mid Summer Mopar at The Ace cafe London, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008,
Wow. Now thats a while ago.
This was the first 'more than 5 miles' outing in my charger I think.
Old reg#, horrible slot mags, no trims, ripped seats, 318, non restored chrome, shot bushes, the list goes on...
Still, she made it !
Thanks. That must have been 2006 I think, I know its our 15th year together. (well, bits of us. Triggers broom and all that...)

A few years ago they started labelling the pre-Chelsea Cruise meet at the Ace (from about 4pm?) a 'Mopar' meet, or a 'Pontiac' meet, or a 'Day Van' meet etc but that never really caught onDave999 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 21 9:32 am ah them were the days

I think the mad dash thru Kensington may have been the Tunnel Run back in 2009 That was fun
Re: Mid Summer Mopar at The Ace cafe London, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008,
You could be right Dave, the 2007 Mopar meet at the Ace was Saturday March 31st so that would have been the Chelsea Cruise night.RobTwin wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 21 12:30 pmDave999 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 21 9:32 am ah them were the days

Was a lovely old motor good to see its still about ( Chris the previous owner did offer me back the car) but I've got to many other projects going on these days .
Interesting enough found an old CD the other day re Bovingdon picnic ... Tearing down the airfield, sure Derek will remember those days ... with a certain Brutus and naughty Alan !! Great couple of guys ...
Enjoy your motoring
