Wow Pete, the car looks absolutely gorgeous! Very subtle and a lovely colour too. Thanks for the pics. And those planes the ones with the wooden airframes? :study:

Mostly original paint as well. Isn't that right Pete?
Looks much better on those TT's than the Welds.

Yes, Steve - everything apart from the Engines, control surfaces, and guns are wood - even the drop tanks were made of wood!

Carried a bigger bomb load than a Boeing B17 and at over 400 mph.

Financed, designed, and built in Hatfield - I lived in one of the original de Havilland tied cottages built for the workforce.

That's a great story Pete. Must be a nightmare trying to keep these beautiful old planes going. Hats off to the staff who do it. I love Duxford by you but my favourite is the RAF museum at Cosford. I've spent hours there, fascinating stuff on display :thumbright:

I love 15" Rallye wheels on 70 Cudas but I'm beyond boring when it comes to wheels. All the little bits of detailing will pay off in the end Pete, will be worth the effort

Cheers Steve :thumbright:
