I've got a nice run out into the Galloway Hills tomorrow with the local car club for 'Drive It Day'.

Didn't see that coming to be honest, good luck with the sale. Shame to see it going as you are enjoying it :salute:

Cheers Steve :thumbright:

:D were a long way from it actually selling!
its pretty dire down here, rammed roads all the time, temporary traffic control all over, fuels been difficult to get, 8 quid a gallon blah blah!
all out local coastal meets/shows gone now, plus im getting on now, just dont want the hassle any longer, i love the old girl but its time to call it a day,

Ive had yanks without any real break since 77' so ive had a good run =D>

Well at least it's a choice thing rather than necessity so good luck with the sale when it comes. :thumbright:

I don't have a huge amount of money tied up in my car so have always said when I've had enough I will pack her away and just look at her every now and then. Different with a valuable car like yours though, a potentially very expensive ornament.

I'm really struggling to get E5 now but am not getting so hung up on it as I was. I'm using E10 and have done all I really can to hopefully protect the fuel system so will just enjoy her while it's still just about affordable.

There is no traffic here thankfully so no holdups etc but on the other side of the coin, no shows. I've joined a local club that caters for everything from cars to static engines, tractors, bikes etc but the membership is generally older than me so I can't just phone someone and suggest a run out at the drop of a hat. It all seems a bit 'involved' as you get older and the spur of the moment stuff appears to be harder to do. They have a yearly club show and a few organised trips during the year but I like to just get in and go.

I do a lot of walking now so tend to just drive the Dodge to where I'm walking and roll the two into one. Means I'm not using fuel in my daily car as much and offsetting it against the cost of fuel for the old car.

I've been going through some bits and pieces on her and giving the underside some attention. I suffer with dodgy knees and am finding it harder as the years go but to get under her etc so am sure that will become a chore at some point. Until then, I will keep plodding on and enjoying her while I can :thumbright:

Same here, I had my right knee replaced 6 years ago and for the first 3 months I thought it was the biggest mistake I had ever made. Couldn't sleep, morphined to the max and dreaded stairs etc. As you say though, absolutely cracking now. I get about 110 degree bend and can walk miles. Kneeling makes me feel sick, just feels all wrong! I met a physio in a pub in Ghent before I had it done and asked her for any tips. She said two things, do everything the physio says and don't YouTube the op. Wise advice. I have watched an op since ...brutal

Had a great drive out today for 'drive it' day. Car ran like a dream. 100 miles of Mopar bliss :thumbright:

Great pics Derek and your car looks as perfect as it always does. What is that car to the right of yours as you look at it? Is it a Torino or similar? Looks very nice. That little van thingy is very cool too, and unusual :thumbright:

I couldn't face being awake during my op so pushed for a general anaesthetic. Thankfully, I got one! :D
