69-72 Pontiac judge
This is a long shot but does anyone have one? I didn't see one at Brooklands american day. I hope to see one in real life one day.

I've always loved these cars since seeing Warren Oates ripping it up in one in 'Two Lane Blacktop'. Got to be orange and completely original in my book. I saw a lovely one years ago at a show somewhere (can't remember where) and it really was a great looking car

Yeah that classic orange and stripe kit is very cool. This is the 1970 version with the double side stripes.

Re: 69-72 Pontiac judge
Had one of those many years ago , just like that one , it came from private collection in Scotland which was sold off after the owner died , I think it was called the Sawn Collection ( not sure on the spelling ) .
Part of that collection was a bronze T5 Hemi Charger that Alan Tansley has , and I think a Superbird , not sure on the details of that though .
Anyway had it for about 3 years and ended up p/x ing on the 69 Superbee that I purchased from trader in Borehamwood , not sure what happened to it after that , but what I do remember is that it was the 400 ram air set up with the hood mounted tacho , auto , black interior and all the goodies , best of all was the handling , never had an american car that could hold a candle to it !!!
Nice to see again sometime though

Great story Guy, thanks for sharing with us. I bet that car is now firmly on the list of 'cars I should have kept. Mind you, the trade was for a great car!

Just for info the Car collection was the Sorn collection a small village in Ayrshire .I remember seeing some of the collection way back in the day, as well as some nice Mopars there was Mustang Boss 302 and 429 and some vintage drag cars. If only could go back in time and buy some of these wonderful cars

Sorry if this is a bit 'off subject' but it is developing into a great story!

John Castleman bought the 6 pack Superbird from the sorn collection, owned it for many years before fully restoring it.
