Dave, here's
Dave999 wrote: Mon Mar 14, 22 2:26 pm wonder if that one has the Aussie and South african borg warner axle will probably be an M60 or an M75 possibly but unlikely M78 those numnbers being nominal size of ring gear in inches i.e 6 inch or 7.5 inch (7.8) or 7 3/4 inch depending on age will have 0600 0750 0780 part number suffix on ring gear

they are robust compared with Euro cortina axles

Dave, here's a pic. I haven't a clue.

well the borg warners usually have 9 bolts to the cover and that i guess has 8 i.e none in the middle at the bottom

but you never know it doesn't look like common cortina fodder

it has more in common with the borg warner at the bttom than the 3 at the top

Octogon shaped

might be an M60 or M65

parts avaible in SA... look up BTR Spicer axle M60..65..70...75....76...78

Ciaran, who owns this has got himself a south african Granada Ghia coupe, was talking to him today and he is having issues with Swansea registering it, to the point, today he said he has given up. Don't know details yet but he will be in contact. I know someone on here has helped other members in this area so any assistance would be greatly appreciated :salute:
