I've been trying to explain this to people at work. Apparently l kill polar bears because I own a Dodge Charger that hasn't seen the road in 13yrs while they're buying new cars thinking that they are green because their cars are more efficient!

It's quite straightforward, you don't save the planet by forcing people to throw something away the works perfectly well only to sell them something new. Unfortunately that's the way the green agenda works which the cynic in me thinks its just a money making scheme that actually just uses up more resources.

This planet will not last forever because the sun will absorb it so might as well enjoy it before that happens. Nothing is getting in the way of my fun not even the environment. Also who cares about polar bears?

I personally believe an illuminati type group runs the world like puppet masters.

The sun absorbing the planet is not really relevant at this stage James.
Many people are with you in not caring about polar bears though I'm not one of them!

Unfortunately the world is being run by greed and most of it due to money making big businesses that will do anything to make more money.

And we are just not strong enough to change it alone.
Look at fuel prices, in our local petrol station gone up by 10p a litre in one week, while oil price has dropped in the same week.

So it is good to see positive reading on anything classic and try and educate people that big engine classic cars are not as bad as they may think. :)

belive it releases more Co2 to make a battery pack than you will ever produce with a 7 liter engine in a hobby car...

on top of that the battery is hard to recylce the parts that are waste need to go in landfil, the thing will only last 5 years....

exhaust polliution today is notb the problem anymore with modern ECU controlled engines with Catalytic converters.... its tyre and brake dust... bigger heavier cars with fatter tyres.
brakes can no longer be made from asbestos so the ware quicker and produce more microscopic dust
tyres are not allowed to have many of the aromatic hyrocarbons in so the produce more dust

both moves to protect us and the environment from somthing that wasn't a huge problem

we have added to this problem with speed bumps specially textured road surfaces and traffic calming ...

its all just madness

we need a policy maker and london mayor who understands the science and doesn't just go with the populist ideas

Great points. Companies have to make money so create the next trend.
