Wanted Complete 360LA engine, No rush

Good moring all

You may have seen I am on with putting a 318 in a cortina.

Well I quite fancy a 360la now, once I have the car up and running, I will be looking to build a nice 360.

Iam in no rush, just putting the feelers out incase anyone is thinking of selling one?

Looking for a compete engine that you know has a good/ usable crank and block, I don't mind if it needs a rebore, just as long as its within tolerances . I would proffer a engine from a manual vehicle?

Yup. Its where I'd like to go at some indeterminable point in the future. Assuming we dont have to electrify

save up for a 390 stroker kit for the 318. a useable 360 will cost 1/2 to 3/4 what the stroker kit costs and you still have to rebuild it. with the stroker you get a new crank, new rods and new pistons/rings so only need your block. 40 thou overbore and it's a 392, a majic mopar number from the early hemis. 500hp is easy with readily available ally heads which you'd probably get for the 360 anyway. it's worth looking into.

It ha been completely rebuilt, rebore, new pistons, crank checked, uprated cam and rhoads lifters. needs one valve cover, lent it to a friend, never got it back. Let me know if you are interested. i"m on 07817 100228 , i"m in Coventry. Traveling not possible at the moment but i"m not in a hurry to sell

But a stroked 360 comes out at 410 = 6.7

but the stroker kits for both are almost the same price and you still have to source an expensive 360 core. you can get a 318 core for between nothing and £200 on ebay. and the like. and it's only 18cu ins difference after all (392 vs 410).
