Have you tried steaming it on the wrinkles? I know thats whats done with seat covering and vinyl so may be the same for the headliner depending on what its made of.

John, I've read that vinyl won't steam out unless there is a cotton content included. I think the pricier headliners have that content and will steam out. Parking it in the sun is the go by all accounts

Hairdryer will be fine, it won't get hot enough to damage the headlining. Heat guns are good but you need to be very careful with them, to hot or to close and it will Bananarama! the headliner
