Thunder Road pics

Post by RobTwin »

Here's a few to be getting on with :)

As last year, reg nos of the cars inside the workshop have been obscured to preserve the customer's anonymity etc etc ..... except the 68 Charger that was spotted in Enfield last week, and the 67 Satellite that used to belong to Dorian... I presume their owners are known to some on here :read2:

Great to see so many familiar faces, new and old...even got to chat with Dave Mingay, who some on here will know from his Pro Mod racing days back in the 80's and early 90's.

Thanks again to Cheng for hosting such a popular event :thumbright:

Wow, that's a great event. What a range of cars too. Everything from a Diablo to a Power wagon! 8-)

Probably 3 times the number of vehicles that were there last year.

We arrived early and there were not many parking spaces left.

I have it on good authority that the Harley riders (not me in this instance) ate all the food and then buggered off. The poor guy filling the tea urn with water was doing non-stop trips but was very good natured about it.

Sincere thanks to Cheng for hosting another great event.

I think Dave Gray won the "Distance" award.

Great day out and longest run out yet for my son Jack's Land Rover Ambulance. He can't drive it yet (only 16) so I drove that and Mandie drove the Challenger.
First time I've seen my car on the road from outside and I thought it looked alright. It also is ALOT more luxurious than a Land Rover and will do more than 55mph.

Thanks to Cheng and crew for putting this day on again.

55 Chevy pick ups were pick of the day for us, Mandie wants one even more now, unless we can find her a pink or purple modern Challenger.

It's received some 'Carbon fibre' stylee stripes at some point.
The jury's out on them....

Body still looks good though (the car, that is)
