Knebworth Classic Cars

Dragged ourselves ALL the way to Knebworth on Monday... even took both cars as it's fairly close for us :thumbright:
Handy also that it drains so well there, after Sundays relentless rain

A fair few familiar American cars there that we've seen quite a bit of over the last few months but there were also a lot of nice quality British & Euro restos, and not just E-types and Escorts for a change!

Dont normally do this show but because rain foiled our plans on Sunday we decided to give it a go to salvage the weekend, was a good turnout, especially the American section, and we really enjoyed it reminded me of when Rally Of The Giants was there.

Some of your pics show the sun shining though, i must have missed that bit! :o

That hood ornament on the Armstrong Siddeley must be the coolest. Looks like the Pharaoh's holding 2 ray guns.

Do you mean the dark green 68 with redlines?
It belongs to a guy from Herts by the name of Shane. 440 manual Track Pack car but currently has a Hemi fitted. He's thinking of putting the original 440 back in. Also has a Shelby mustang. Not a bad couple of cars to have.

Good to see the black 71 Roadrunner with the unusual black and orange interior is still about. I wondered what happened to that car. We built it to a customers spec to exchange for another car (long story) Raven black metallic, Centrelines, 440 six pack, auto. He then changed his mind and we eventually sold it to the late John Pitt. Street Machine did an article on it probably in the late nineties.

Thanks Martin - we see that 'runner around these parts once in a while, usually at Harpenden Classic On The Common in July. Don't remember seeing it at any of the usual American type shows :-k
