Each to their own, as they say... ;)

Gotta Love clutch. Think ive seen them now about 6 or 7 times. Always will travel to their shows when they are in town. Though i think their latest album wasnt as good as Psychic Warfare

Nice one Chris. I'm quite late to Clutch - hadnt really heard anything of theirs till we saw them play with a reformed Thin Lizzy at Hammersmith in 2012 and I've seen them every time they've played London since then, except once I think. And they play nearly every year so that's prob about 6 or 7 times too.

There's a couple of interesting side-projects too that you might want to check out if your not already aware...
At that last gig at the Roundhouse in Camden Town, they had 2 supports - both Swedish - Graveyard and Kamchatka. Kamchatka are a 3 piece - great in their own right but the singer/guitarist plus bassist also play with Clutch's drummer JP in a band called King Hobo (see my previous post above). JP came on to play with them for their last song and it sounded great so i've just downloaded their 2 albums off Amazon.
The other is Clutch but mostly instrumental - The Bakerton Group

Yeah, i saw both of them with Clutch last year, annoyingly had to travel down to Southampton to see them play, but always worth it. I Thought they were ok, but King Hobo are great and it was cool to see them up with JP. Bakerton group is pretty great too, check out Dunsmuir and the Company Band, they are Neil's, the lead singers, side projects. Both excellent and Dunsmuir has one of the Black Sabbath/Dio drummers in.

Seem to remember Robo from Lizzy (superb guitarist) played with them for a while.

After "Fast Eddie" walked out due to the Lemmy / Wendy O. Williams debacle, Robbo did join for a while.
Gifted guitarist, but would not get with the program, went on tour, refused to play all the old numbers and deliberately provoked the band and the fans by dressing unconventionally.

His product with the band was the album "Another perfect Day" which bombed, resulting in his departure and the arrival of Phil Campbell and Wurzel as guitarists.

I am not a fan of the album, but it has been re-appraised over time and considered to be one of the best....

Interesting. He was a difficult bugg3r. Picking fights in bars and causing hand injuries which resulted in him not playing much guitar on the Bad Reputation album. And wanting credits on albums for riffs he cam up with. Always against the grain and plenty of arguments with Lynott. But his guitar solos were so accomplished, with soul and aggression. Warrior and Don’t Believe a Word are some of my favourites.
