New MOPAR member and car introduction

Post by JohnMcG »

good morning fellow motoring enthusiasts
I am the lucky new owner of a Dodge Challenger MY2016 R/T Hemi, a pipe dream from the days of loving american cars, shows etc but always being, and still am a enthusiastic Porsche 911 owner.
I/we (Denise my wife, Macan S owner) look forward to club membership input.
I joined this club at the NEC last weekend whilst we were running our club stand and visited the USA section, it was superb, well done to the organisers and car donors alike.
Living in Bedford I am close to santa Pod, Billing and Knebworth going south so quite near some good event locations I hope to this time visit in my own car rather than visitor status!
I have good mates in your club, George Ram, Mick Impala and kevin Fury..you can guess their cars!
Porsche have ordered a Borla sports exhaust, we went for Atak option, has anyone got a modern Challenger with a Borla Atak sports exhaust fitted?
Best regards and once again we look forward to monthly meetings and events, we are going to Cambridge branch as the guy was extremely helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable....thank you for having us!
Just returned from 2.5 weeks in Orlando, Miami and Oasis of the seas and saw so many Doidge I had to buy one, my best pal and Porsche manager wants a camaro..but in RHD!...anyone know if this will happen like the Mustang option?

Keep the faith..we are Northern Soul fans too!
John and Denise McGirl and boys Colm/Thomas...Corsa owners!
You have to start somewhere dont you!

Hi there John, and a warm welcome to the club.

I spoke with you at the NEC and signed you up, though I did not make it back to the Porsche stand for that coffee as we were so busy on the MMA stand.

The Challenger sounds brilliant, my mate Roydon will be really jealous!!!

Please get some pictures of ALL you cars up when you can, we are quite an eclectic bunch really.

All the best

Pete

Don't hold your breath for a right hand drive Camaro. I understand it was originally planned BY GM, but cancelled to save money. So if you want a Camaro it's gotta be LHD.

John popped round to show us his car, and see our old version, so here is a couple of pics, sorry about the quality it was getting dark. That B5 blue works really well on the new shape Challengers.

 How did I miss this? We drove past and Wendy said "there's a new shape Challenger outside Matts", now I know she wasn't seeing things.

I clearly had my eyes on the road
