Somewhere in the £250-£300 range is what I'd expect. I recently used these guys http://www.beamishtransport.co.uk/ Yorkshire to Sussex with my L/R was around £240.

+1
Have used shipley.com a couple of times, but only for small cars.

All the couriers will underbid one another so give it 48 hours for the quotes to come down as far as they are going to.
It's a bit like ebay but they bid the price down rather than up.
Gives you a chance to review their feedback and pick one you like the sound of as well as the price.

Best car transporter service I have ever used was the guy recommended by Anton to collect my car for some servicing. Can't remember his name but excellent service, truck was huge and in a like new condition, bloke was very careful and very reasonable. Perhaps Anton can post details?

I've used Sean Wheeler for the Cuda and my old Z28 and he's based right near Farnham and very good. Depends on the size of car.
