Had states plates on my cars for many years and they’re great. And the police don’t do anything about them either. The transport police were following my car last week and no probs.

Yes, I have discovered the same.

Funny police story - got followed down the A1 one night. Big fast traffic Volvo. They followed me off the A414 - I just KNEW they were going to pull me for plates. Oh well, its a fair cop (sic) , my own fault etc. Going down the A414 they move out and pull up alongside me. I stare straight ahead for maybe 10 seconds - I know they are still there. I look over - they both give the Charger a massive thumbs up with big grins and roar off. Top chaps :)

It doesnt seem to specify a font. I thought it did - interesting.

Needs name and postcode if supplier though which statesplates dont have.

Will measure letter later, but i imagine they are 10mm wide

States Plates are very good, got Mandie's truck plates there last year, based in France, about £50 a pair with extra text top and bottom. :thumbright:

And legally probably OK, size definitely is, we got white on black which is age correct to be legal too.

ANPR reads all sorts these days so you won't get away with too much just because the plate size is smaller.

Looking at getting a pair from States Plates, but the website isn’t the best for information

Take it these are 12” x 6” plates?

For silver on black, I want pressed plates, but it isn’t clear which size / font to order to get this. Anyone advise who’s used them? It looks like some are pressed and others may not be dependent on font.

Cheers

OK, found the answer to the first bit, 12 x 6 plates, which is good.

Interested from the people who have pressed plates from them, what lettering option did you choose?

Wanted to go for the 80mm option (closest to UK legal I could see) but not sure if that will produce pressed plates or not, as the font is different to the "US Style" 70mm option.

I know it seems like a stupid question, but I think the plates I have on the car came from states plates and they aren't pressed, so want to be sure.

I have emailed them, but ne response yet.
