Mondeo 2.0 Zetec

Post by Matt74 »

Thought I'd try selling here before using eBay.
1999 MK2 Mondeo.
No MOT
Really tatty so only really any good for the engine in my opinion which has done 100,000 miles. Book stamped up to 71,000. Cambelt due but I have a new cambelt kit and water pump to go with it.
Tyres are shot, no radio, has dents and scratches, rear bumper in very poor condition and the clutch will slip in 5th gear under load.

Ideal for a classic ford engine upgrade which is what I was going to do but I have too many other projects, cars, house etc.

If it goes on eBay it will go on for around £395 or best offer

I'm happy to let it go for less to a member. Will need to be trailered away and as soon as possible really.

I will leave it here for a couple of days before going on eBay

Cheers for the ad.

Matt.

You may be surprised what you get offered scrap.
I couldn't sell my MOT fail Voyager on Facebook and got over £400 scrap which is more than I was listing it for to sell.
Shame to scrap but it was simple and direct bank transfer once they loaded up.

Yeah I bought a Seat Alhambra to use the engine in my old T4 and still got £190 scrap.

If nobody wants it for the engine I'll give silverlake salvage a call. Used them before with no hassle at all!

Hey try these:
https://carconverter.co.uk/

The gearbox went on the wife's Citroen C4 GP. It was a 62 plate with 64k on it.
Value was £3.5k prior to the gearbox foing and all the scrappy would offer was £150.
Tried a few online places but felt uneasy about it. These guys had good reviews and went through a load of questions and photos. Offered me £1075. Accepted, picked the car up from the dealership and had the money in my account within 2 hours.

Hassle free, never had to do it before, but would do it again without question.
