66 Charger Wheels

Post by TheShale74 »

Hi all.

I am a new member and I'm looking for a set of steel wheels 14 x 5.5 to fit a 1966 charger. Also looking for the Dodge Charger/Coronet 'spinner style' hubcaps that were issued at the time.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers! Nick.

Morning Nick,

Might be worth asking Duncan Watts (Cannonball), he sorted me out with a set of spares for my Polara a while back, sure he will have something. Do you have a picture of the hubcaps you want? I have a pal with access to tons of trims in the States and he may have some here.

There's a guy selling 4 x 14" wheels on UK MOPARS Facebook ATM. (5 x 4.5 PCD). He wants £150 for the lot. Can't quite tell if they'd take our spinners or not. Unfortunately you're about two weeks to late or I could have let you have my old wheels.

Here's a photo of the ones for sale on FB:

Already ahead of you on those Steve.

Spotted them on Ebay a few weeks back and have been 'watching' them. Decided to see if I could source the correct 14' rims first before taking the plunge and buying them.

I spotted those on Sunday morning too - but the ad had vanished by the afternoon!?

Do you have a link for them?

Hey Steve.

Would your Pal in the US be able to source a set of chrome wheel arch trims for a 66 Charger?

I don't but I've got in touch with the guy who I think had them for sale so we'll see what happens. I know he had someone interested pretty fast.

Morning Nick,

I was actually talking to the guy last night. You may know him. His name is Kevin Plant (Elvis Kev) and Simon knows him too. Has lots of contacts across the pond. I asked about the trims and he said his pal in Utah has mainly beauty rings and dog dishes so doubts he will have the trims you want. If you don't know Kev its worth meeting him. He's a great guy and very knowledgeable on Mopars (especially fusie C bodies). He mentioned your name when I was chatting about the caps. He may also have a set of 14" wheels so worth getting in touch.
