Fantastic photos Rob. We weren't there Friday, just Sat & Sunday so unfortunately missed you (and most of the show too spending most or our time on the MOC stand answering questions, selling T shirts and signing up new members) so thanks for photographing all that interesting stuff.

Loved the 77RW E-type story card - fascinating history lesson!
Carpet does make a difference doesn't it (& yes Andy is 'Phillips') but there are very strict rules about only sticking it down with their approved 2x tape (which, luckily, is available for sale from the on-site NEC shop !!!) and all traces have to be removed or they will fine the club.
I haven't done the NEC for a few years and the two hour M1 journey is a ball ache but its worth it in the end as we met dozens of like minded petrol heads from all over the world, got to see some fantastic cars & bikes and argued about paying over three quid for a bottle of water :)

We went all day Saturday until the doors were shut, started in Hall1 by the Alfas, missed most of the trade stalls as we didn't need anything specific, and by going through each hall to try and see everything we got to the MMA stand about 4pm which was the first place we actually stopped to chat to anyone for any length of time.

It is a huge show and lots to see, and there is always things you will miss.
We prebooked NEC parking which was £12 instead of £16 so a bit of a saving.

Steve, glad you found the Town & Country, it was stunning, first one I've seen with an appleton spotlight and wood that hasnt faded. Well done to everyone for the club stand and cars. The layout worked well, and Will's car was clearly a draw and had a great spot with lots of space around it.
The carpet idea would be nice, we saw several flooring options over the weekend. Biggest issue is storing and transporting to the event.

My favourites were the Bolwell Nagari, (when have you seen another) the 3 Unipower GT's, the early Skylines and the Green Goddess converted to a car transporter, fitted with a 5.9 Cummins Diesel.

Good weekend, well done all concerned.

Duncan, the FF looks superb, shame you missed the deadline.
Thanks Matt!

Re the carpet - Andy said the carpet he supplied and fitted on the Mustang stand is the cheapest you can get (cheaper than underlay) and it's intended to be a 'one use only' so only has to last for 4 days. He took it there, fitted it and.... I'm not sure whether he has to take it away or whether he can dispose of it in the NEC's skips, but as Roy said, he has to use low-tack tape so it doesn't leave any residue on their lovely  floor.

We thought we'd covered most of the club stands but seem to have missed some of what you saw matt :-k #-o

Ivor wrote: Sun Nov 10, 19 1:12 pm Brilliant shots Rob, it takes me back to when I was there every year...I WILL be back at next year's show! 8-)
We might not need any carpet to brighten things up if Ivor's there with one of his shirts.
:)

Would be great to see you anytime Sir, hopefully before next November!

It was in the Silverstone Auctions area, behind the picket fence (you needed to buy a catalog to gain entry) in Hall 2...
