Wheels Day 2020

Post by Derek »

I have registered the MMA for a club stand in 2020 but won't know until Febuary if we have it, if we do get it it is limited to 15 spaces. here's what Surrey Street Rodders say..................................

Well ladies and gentlemen of the SSR,
We are very pleased to announce that the registration process for 2020s Wheels Day 46 is officially open!!!
The site has been updated and tweeked to make it easier to use and less troublesome than before. The website can now be used by single entries, car clubs and trade to apply!
Simply visit www.wheelsday.net to register your car. The site is open until 1st March to apply. Please be careful to fill out the forms correctly especially when asked for your address and postcode. Last year we had a considerable number of passes get undelivered due to people not filling in their details correctly.
Traders, please contact our trade team through the website this year. It will auto-generate a form which we can use to contact you with to make this years event run smoother for you. Please make contact asap as we only have a limited number of spaces and they go very fast.
The "Car Club" format is staying the same as last year with spaces limited to 15 spaces max. per club, but the registration process has changed slightly. For the first time we are taking Club stand requests via the website to try to ease the process some what. As with last year we have decided to limit the club stands to a maximun of 20 club displays with an emphasis on "best of display". There will be a "Best Car Club Display" trophy awarded to the best display of vehicles on the stand. Each club will be judged not just on the quality, type, rarity and condition of the vehicles on display but equally important is how the club displays to the public. Club banners and gazebos will be allowed as long as they are not excessive and do not obstruct the view across the show field and are securely anchored (this is your responsibility!) The pitch area will be decided on numbers and types of vehicle to displayed.
You will be contacted at the beginning of Feb for confirmation on your club pitch. We do not run a first come first served system so please wait patiently for a response to your application. Each year we have to turn down many more clubs than we can handle but please bare with us. If your members are planning to attend with your club PLEASE ask them not to apply as a solo vehicle until the club stand has been confirmed or not. By them applying as single entries as well as in the club it can cause headaches with the single entry system and mean people who want a single ticket to miss out.
Payment will be required by 1st March for your club stand from the club chairman/representative applying and singerly entered show cars will not be allowed to park on a club stand irrespective of space or area and will be sent to single show car parking.
As always, thank you all for your continued support and here’s to a great 2020 show!
Are we there yet dad ..... 10 to the gallon but worth it.
