Goodwood Breakfast Club 2020

Post by RobTwin »

Dates just released for Goodwood's Breakfast Club meets for this year. Not many of them, and for us lot, probably just the first and fourth are relevant.
We'll probably aim for the first one, weather permitting...

March 1st - Vee Power Sunday
May 3rd - Everything but the Car Sunday
June 7th - Supercar Sunday
August 2nd - Classic Car Sunday
November 1st - TBC

Just applied and got accepted for the first Breakfast Club meet, March 1st - 'Vee Power'.

All that's needed now is the weather to sort itself out... :toothy2:

Anyone else?

Yeah if the forecast a week ahead can be believed, we prob wont go :( but I'll reserve judgement till next Saturday and decide then

BTW Gavin, our pass says 'SITE ACCESS' so we wont be parking on the grid this time, maybe cos I only applied last week. Did you apply early enough to get on the Grid?

Yes I'll check Saturday and then decide.

Grid is based on Goodwood's discretion not faster finger first so clearly neither of our cars are worthy this time.

I've had grid before too but really depends on the theme as to what they deem appropriate, probably will be full of old blokes in 458's and chavs in Lambo's.

Yes, we had a grid spot last time we went with the Dodge (Transatlantic Sunday) and they seemed pleased to have us there, including it n their online poll for favourite US vs UK and even rang to arrange to meet up and have a chat about the car, but this time maybe V8s are just too common  [-(

More fun to be had just up the road on Sunday, especially if it's raining. You might need to fit bigger tyres though...

The decision's been taken out of our hands...

"Important announcement:

Due to the recent wet weather and the resulting condition of the car parks surrounding the Motor Circuit, we must sadly inform you that this weekend’s Vee-Power Sunday has been postponed to Sunday 4 October 2020. This is not a decision that has been taken lightly, but one that we have made to ensure the safety of our customers, as well as the protection of our car parks ahead of the 78th Members' Meeting."

Understandable :thumbright:

And it's not likely to be raining in October, is it... :-k
