Chelsea Cruise 45th Anniversary

Post by Derek »

As a lot of you know already as you have seen it on Facebook May 30th is the 45th Anniversary of the Chelsea Cruise =D> , It died in the 90s mainly due to the hot hatch crowd :x . I restarted It back in September 2004 and it's been ok in the summer months but not so good in the winter.

Hopefuly this is going to be a big one as there's a lot of interest already :D , someone has arranged for a film crew to be there to capture the whole night and interview some people \:D/ , If you have nothing to do that night why not come along, It would be great to have a few Mopar there, or even come along in your daily to see what it's all about. Chelsea Bridge / Battersea Park from 7pm

Sounds a plan. A couple of mates said they're interested too, one has a ‘68 Corvette 427 drop top and the other a 65 Buick Riviera Super Wildcat with cherry bombs. Bloody racket.

Its been well over twenty years since i been to the chelsea cruise, the last time i went was a month or two after i sold my 77 camaro daily driver so i could put some money into a house purchase, a mate and i went up in his 351 70 mustang, as we drove along the cruise, there was my 77 just sitting there lined up.....wow i thought... good to see it out at the cruise... then i walked round the passenger side and saw the new owner had stoved in the fender and scrapped up the door, i guess he wasn't ready for lhd........i could of cried or throttled him if i got hold of him........

Well i am over that now, i think it's time to hit chelsea streets again....

It looks like this is going to happen only now it’s a cruise for the NHS.

Chelsea cruise 45th UPDATE:
Due to lockdown:
THE OFFICIAL 45TH CHELSEA CRUISE CELEBRATION WILL NOW BE RE SCHEDULED FOR LATER THIS YEAR WHEN ITS SAFE FOR EVERYONE
We also hope to do it for the NHS as a (charity cruise)
So will keep you all posted thanks

Unofficially
IF ANYONES STILL UP TO CRUISE AROUND ON THE SAT 30TH MAY PLEASE AVOID BATTERSEA PARK AND DRIVE UP DOWN THE KINGS RD FROM 6PM ( both directions )

PLEASE BE SAFE
& KEEP YA DISTANCE
BATTERSEA PARK MAY HAVE RESTRICTED PARKING ON SAT 30th MAY SO CRUISERS MAYBE TURNED AWAY AT THE GATE BY THE PARK POLICE :
So most cruisers will be driving up and down the kings rd in both directions like the good old days

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN ORGANISED EVENT OR AN ORGANISED GATHERING , NO ONE RUNS THE CHELSEA CRUISE LIKE MINDED PEOPLE ROLL UP AND CRUISE AROUND
SO NOBODY CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYONE'S ACTIONS WHEN THEY TURN UP ON THE NIGHT & CRUISE ..........The way the Americans have done it.
