Bicester Scramble June 19th

Another great day at Bicester on Sunday. We applied for a ticket to park in amongst the buildings, rather than out on the airfield, and were chosen at random along with a proper mixture of other 'classics' (and some not so classic ;) ) Downside of that was we had to be there by 8.15 so as not to have cars moving round on the roads when the public were starting to arrive.
Easy drive there tho, arrived around 7.50 and got parked up near the Le Mans display cars.

Managed to take 410 photos by the time we left at 2.15 but dont worry I've binned a few of them

PS sorry about the upside down pics, still havent worked out how to avoid this when posting 'portrait' pics

Great photos Rob and thank you for sharing.

Some lovely looking cars there, and it must have been a busy busy day.

Great shots. A much better selection of cars than when we went earlier in the year.

And a cool Bitter CD, rarer than rock horse $hit.

Thanks, yes it was busy. Tickets were sold out some time before the event but with such a large area I'm sure they could sell even more and recoup some of the lost revenue they must be trying to get back after covid... seeing as tickets are now around £17 each and when we first went in 2018 I'm sure we only paid around £5 :-k

Cool pics, some nice stuff there as always, though I thought the numbers seemed down this time, it is as you say getting expensive now and there was other stuff on elsewhere.

We had a pass to park in amongst the buildings, I had to work Saturday and didn’t have time to bring my car home from where it’s stored so we went in my friends 56 Bel Air

Who owns the red 63/4 Galaxie super stock car, I want that car so bad

Hi Andy, good to see you, albeit briefly on Sunday.
We didn't get to see the owner of the Galaxie I'm afraid, ti's cool tho isn't it 👍
Not sure that 330hp from 390ci is worth shouting about let alone painting it on your fender 🙄😁
Yes there were a few less cars out on the airfield than when we first went to this event in June 2019. I think they may still have some covid restrictions in place to make sure it doesn't get too crowded?

Thank Derek. It's getting almost as old as a box brownie so you're not far off the truth ;)
