I have to agree with Matt, I think the original car in the post is very nice. If it had Mopar badges on it Im guessing we would all be saying its a stunner :D :D Ive got no idea what these cars are worth but just think what you could buy in the Mopar world with that money....440 RT Challengers etc. Interesting debate and the fact we all like different stuff makes this hobby great.

it is a shame that ford australia did not import some boss 429 engines !!!! then everybody would be happy

i still can't get over the idea that the owner wants to sell his falcon to buy a model 3 tesla .. he must be taking the p*** !!!

why buy american muscle when you can have aussie ??!! (apart from the maintenance costs !!)

1970 426 hemi close to 400,000 usd.. makes aussie muscle great value !!!

yeah

but we are aussie owners in a country where those who like "Cars of American Origin" want LHD cars and american models...

if the things had raced here it would be a different story....

i like aussie mopars because other then the duke boys that was my introduction to mopars.
the story of the car that should not have been made.
the near misses at bathurst.
the success in new zealand.
crazy insistence on the hemi 6 when they had 200 + steel crank 340s in the warehouse
the daft disparity in value between a car with stickers stripes and base model interior over the 770

and the fact that they are truly practical classics. mine is no worse on the fuel than a jeep, overtakes most modern traffic in double quick time, few know what the hell it is, shorter fatter than a US A body, handles well, and occasionally i get to say to a v8 owner yes you just got beat by a six cylinder.

that works for me....

and through that i totally "get" the ford and GM offerings...

US influenced cars, size and running gear, with some euro styling cues that make them look like cars we knew over here

capri viva cortina avenger (in my cars case allegro :) same lights) etc

yes

and a visit to Clarke Rubber for a foam mattress

sorted

have you seen the version with the wagon floor pan not the van floor pan

has a second row of seats.....odd combo so you basically got a six seater wagon on the low tax commercial vehicle scale.....

sneaky
