End of Holden

Post by rfullarton »

GM announced today they can no longer support Holden and is shutting down the business in Australia and NZ by June 2020

For the owners of Holden's GM has stated they will support the brand for a minimum of 10 years for parts and servicing

So parts should still be available for the Vauxhall range

It is a very sad day

GM has stated they are pulling out of mainstream RHD production globally

i believe they might be staying in trucking and looking at specialty vehicles like a rhd corvette

good luck owning a rhd corvette in australia .. you will be vilified

I wonder why they didn't sell the brand on.

A fall in sales volume to 43,176 vehicles in 2019 from 170,000-odd per year in the early 2000's is tragic.

Sad to see it go, but when they stopped making the Commodore the writing was on the wall really.

Agreed, the only surprise to me is they left it this long, GM already pulled out of Europe, so it's sad but not a shock...
