Ah its a VE not a VG sorry either way all the same
need axle bearings for a VC-VG yours in the the middle

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=60280

you put your orginal post or somone acceindtally moved it to the for sale parts section

But as hinted at in my long ramble

you could try a morgan dealer they used an M76 which is much the same as the M75 diff you have
these will probably fit https://mogparts.net/search?query=BTR
you would need bearings and seal
i'd be requesting these on a return if they don't look like they will fit situation. 106A is the bearing set 106B sounds like the press on collar to hold the bearing on and 118B is the seal

However these MORGAN chaps really do take advantage of the fact that they think they are the only source of this kinda stuff... i.e they allways "see you coming"

otherwise these geezers might be able to do it for you

given that your axle was made 66- 71 By Borg warner Austrlia and these mrogan axles were made in the 90s by British Tyre and Rubber, same factory differnt cheif... BTR took over the factory, went bankrupt and then were administerd by Grant Thornton until sale of the whole lot to spicer Axle Australia in the early 2000s you may find some ingenuity is necessary with the seals.

or US automotive who used to have a list of aussie compatible parts

best bet howeere is the four piece kit, you need two per axle, from an Aussie Supplier

OR try tech support at motospecs Sydney I used to annoy an old fella there regualarly asking questions about parts swapping between holdens fords and chryslers.

https://gpcasiapac.com/our-businesses/a ... motospecs/

ask for part numbers for bearing seal and bearing retianer collar for a 66-71 "Borg warner made" M75 axle from a VE valiant.
explain that you are in the UK so can't just Mailorder from a local aussie supplier, you need the detail.....

if they can give you the TOYO or torrington or SKF numbers for bearing retainer and seal
A local UK supplier can probably come up with the goods

if you have success this way post up the part numbers and we'll save them for the next guy.... :)

another source would be any US car buisness in the Uk that specialises in 1982-1992 IROC-Z camaros and TA firebirds
they used the M76 axle as well, they called it a GM 9 bolt. the GM9 bolt had disk brakes and a different axleretainer so the seals may not work. but if you just need bearings you should be ok.

these people in the US do stuff under the GM 9 bolt banner, but i don't see wheel bearings https://www.ratechmfg.com/gmstandard.htm
Handy for rebuild stuff cheaper than Oz and decent quality

however this is a bargain, told you the morgan guys saw you coming £66 AUD per kit rather than £150

buy these and get em sent buisness courier if in a real hurry

same again below

https://shopping.rewardia.com.au/VE_VG_ ... 1214109166

https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_fro ... d=1&_sop=7

few options

is your axle orginal?? :)

Hi Dave....Wow!....what a lot of great info!

Yes this definitely the original axle.....

Have tried US Automotive, but they are struggling......I don't know if these parts are 'Aussie Content'......or American Dodge Dart / Plymouth Valiant etc?

as far as i am aware the rear suspension set up of your car is a 1968 style plymouth valiant

so if you found a US valiant/dart axle AKA A Body axle, complete, a 7 1/4 inch or 8 1/4 inch, it may well bolt right in drum to drum. neither came with a pinion yoke for the BIG dodge joint on the tail shaft, you are in luck they 99.9% of the time came with the small one
yours already uses the small dodge joint on the tail shaft. so if the stars aligned you may find that either of these bolt in and bolt up to the tail shaft no bother.

Its an alternative to get you going that works on pre 71 Aussie cars. but make sure your wheels fit, the stud PCD changed,
yours will be 4inch PCD not 4.5 like later cars

you would however have replaced a decent axle with a rubbish one if you go for the US 7 1/4
and one of much the same qulity if you went with a US 8 1/4

the chances of you finding an A body 8 3/4 US axle is very small and it will cost £1000 this is a favorite axle for higher power cars which balances strength and weight good for an A body race car

but the other two are often cast off by US car owners who want to go racing and want a bigger axle
make friends with an A body owner who has a race car and see what their pile of cast off standard parts has in it.

if you could find a 7 1/4 US axle you may well have a bolt in that would cover you for your wedding and while you fix the original.

Hi Dave.....as ever....brilliant and detailed advice.

I have just spoken again to US Automotive, and after a bit of digging, they think they probably have the correct kits and seals :)

Should be arriving in a few days time.

Will let you know how I get on.

Thanks very much, your info made all the difference.

no probs
they sold a couple thousand valiants here and they either rusted away within 5 years, got banger raced in the 90s or were in the hands of enthusiatsts so there should be some stock about..

US Automotive used to service the needs of the old Australian Chrylser club quite well
depends on if the person who paid some interest then is retired or not i guess... or at least left a note on a cabinet saying AUSSIE STUFF
