chrysler US used to get prototype stuff made over here....
if jensen wanted something special it might have come from sheppey, certainly easier on the shipping.

seemingly they did blocks and special heads for hemis and 440s...

can't remember the name of the company....

4X4 jensen was the FF they did make some 4 wheel drives.
so did Chrysler US, a road runner i think

The Ferguson Four (FF) wheel drive tech lives on more or less as Quatro and Syncro with VW/Audi albeit advanced and enhanced

The four wheel drive that I know of was the 69 Fury built for the Michiagn State Police, it was sent to the Uk for the fourwheel drive fitment by Ferguson (FF), and came to my very own Police Force in Hertfordshire on trade plates before going back to the US. The picture here was on the wall at our North Watford Traffic base and the picture was taken at the Breakspear Motorway post at junction 8 of the M1, Hemel Hempstead, obviously a long time before I worked from there. There is a P6 Rover just visible beside the Fury.

Anyhoo, I need to have a guide to follow for when I do manage to be able to do something similar with mine

So - long time, no progress. Still the case. Long story very short work dramas and life mean charger not getting the love but made a start today on moving some stuff about in garage to get ready for the swap and other bits. Anyway, wound the engine over as I do periodically and noticed this - Thought you nostalgia junkies might enjoy it. Guess there is no doubting whose car this came out of. haha.
The second pic is just the funny rocker covers - I just love the crudeness of them so I might restore and keep them on instead of my shiny ones. We'll see.

Anyway. Hopefully more meaningful progress coming.

An interesting question.
2 schools of thought (I noted your own strip/check of hemi despite its apparent low use). There is no doubting this has been battered since build some years ago - but it seems/sounds good.
Thought1 - Clean it, paint it, install it, run it as is. It doesnt seem to smoke/clatter/bang and I only do 1000 a year tops so just get on with it. If it goes bang it goes bang. Its not like I am going racing or punishing.
Thought2 - While its out and on a stand get someone to pop it open and check it over. I have neither the knowledge or the tools (well, I might have the tools but I certainly dont have the knowledge) but I do have some contacts who do.

I have spoken with advocates of both approaches... I am erring towards thought1. I'll hold a poll

Agreed...option 1. If you open it, you WILL find something that 'needs' doing, if it ran OK, drop it in and deal with anything down the line

yeah once you take it apart it is so easy to add oil leaks...

if it doesn't spout forth at the rear main seal and sounded good i'd leave well alone.

no harm in doing a few oil changes in quick succession when you get going , wash out any gloop that has settled out during the down time.

Well I beg to differ I remember this engine and motor it was in Bob used to thrash the hell out of this engine ..
Better to leave the devil alone .. Maybe but what's the easiest access to dropping the sump off now or when it's in the car
