Correct gearing was way to high. Clutch now seems to lock correctly and now wheel spin is my issue.

To be honest I was expecting better traction with such a wide tire but was near impossible to do a burnout without a big puddle.

Test run before a certain top gear presenter didn’t get a feel for the brakes before he turned the wick up ...

Turbo engine plans are slowly coming along.

One of the main issues is at 36psi Of boost it’s not uncommon to see inlet air temps of 140°c !!!!!

The grid is full of air/air to intercooler, water/air charge cooling ice/air charge cooling

Even heard that someone is doing a water/air system using Coolant the bike is then connect to a refrigeration unit in the pits and it sits on the start line with -30°C charge cooler coolant temps.

I’m hoping to build some form of dry ice or even liquid nitrogen Charge cooler / inlet manifold / plenum / throttle body all in one.

Very little information out there on forced induction plenum design or the affect of basically creating a snow machine and blowing snow into an engine.....

I have made a very crude test box and hope to test making my own dry ice and the effects it has on charge inlet temps. The focus for now is the logistics around make dry ice it’s consumption and absorption rate.

i know someone who had co2 nozzles that sprayed onto his intercooler. it'd be small and relatively light (dependant on bottle size) and could be wired to have inlet temperature or boost pressure dependant activation. i'm full of weird ideas though :thumbright:

i forgot to say co2 is bloody cold when sprayed out of a compressed container, ever had a fire extinguisher nozzle disharged in your pocket? imagine snow in your pocket :D

will icy cold co2 cause a very hot chunk of ally to crack or is it ductile and robust enough ? probably is? whats the trumpet on a co2 fire extinguisher made of steel or aluminium?

So testing of the dry ice maker went really well and seems to work great. The unit is very simple and is basically liquid Co2 tank with a dip tub and you simply blast it into a bag.

We are testing it this weekend at the track and filling up another turbo bike which would normally use standard ice and water.

Logging should tell us real world advantages.

The ideal of spraying and intercooler with it is good but bottles are very heavy and the only economical way to do this is with 6ft 100kg £40 a refill tanks.

Well it’s finally the end of the season and what a great year it’s been !

Last weekend was a Pod runwhat you brung and top speed event at Elvington Air Force Base.

I finally found terminal Velocity with the 220hp I have.

I did 3 runs at 161 - 162 - 163mph ! This was held at 11rpm for just over 1/2 mile

Bike felt great and it is starting to feel slow even if the track was abit damp!!

New front end coming on well and time to start cutting up the bike for next year !!

Guy Martin ran a 243mph so a lot of work needed over the winter to show him what for next season.

are you planning any enclosed bodywork at some point (can't remember if you said?) as this would definately improve the top speed.
