Autosol on the inlet,I’d be reaching for the electric polisher. Last time I did my Slot mags I managed to cover everything in black flecks and polish and it took all day, rewarding but made my back hurt. Alloy has a lovely texture when polished 😎
Yes mate it's VHT on the manifolds, Last time it lasted a few years, didn't have much choice of colour as the shop that I got it from was closing for a while, I could have waited and got some from Ebay but wasn't sure If I would be able to get it with all that's going on at the moment.

I managed to get a bit of paint on the engine and brake master clyinder today so I'm getting there slowly.

Stewart, once everything is back to normal if you want I'll come over and give you a hand one weekend when you're not working, you're only about 20 miles from me.

That's quiet an easy job you've got to do there Morgan, lay them all out in the sun to make them more supple, you'll find it's easier then, I've done a few now..

Yeah, I did the drivers seat with the other half of the kit and it went OK. As you say, the key is getting it nice and warm/supple first. I hate it when you see them 'all new interior' and it looks like something thats been draped over and tied on...

Still, thats not the point. The point is 'Dereks lovely engine bay is the cause of my seat now being in bits !' :)
