Battery

I wanted to keep a battery / alternator / starter motor all connected for Convenience

we need the smallest lightest battery known to man !

There is only one thing for it Lithium Iron Phosphate aka
(LiFePO4).

Each little battery =
300CCA / 400PCA / 5.0A, similar to a 16Ah lead acid battery
Dimensions: 143x38.5x117.5mm (LxWxH)
Weight: +/- 805gr


If you had a big V8 you can connect Multiple multiple batteries together to create a large battery

I think I will get away with one unit but if need will add another.


Thanks to the battery only being 38mm thick I can mount it inside the rear frame !

I have a lithium battery, but still concerned of the fire hazard. I never leave it charged unattended & disconnect when not in uses. Wether I’ll be able to get close enough to it, but can disconnect & removed battery in around 20 seconds

Other than my concerns, it works great

I was told that Fast Freddie fire was caused by a Lithium Battery being on charge & unattended. Trouble is when they do catch fire, it’s impossible to put them out.

At work one of the guys brought in an RC Car with a Lithium battery and it caught fire.
It did a lot of damage to the Front Shop door (which was wooden)....

Yep, the only consolation was that the ProMod was smoke damaged and not materially damaged.

All very sad, though, and a reminder of the risks.....

Due to my large charge cooler my coolant pipes became really difficult. Normally in the bike, there is nothing in this location.

Decided to make a top and bottom hose out of stainless not the lightest thing on the bike but reliable and will get me going.

The standard Hayabusa was a N/A (normally aspirated) bike. It used a set of 4 individual throttle bodies and was never turbo in production. The throttle bodies are held on with little rubber boots and jubilee clips.

These seem to be a real weak point and I often see people around the pit struggling with a blown-off boost hose as they try to put 20-40Psi of boost down a little rubber pipe and jubilee clip.

Below pictures are the standard street bike set up very common on most EFI N/A bikes today ..

Below we are going to use a sort of O-Ring Clamp design which I'm really hoping works

The bike will be turbo and plan to stick a lot of boost down its neck !

Trying to keep this as simple as possible we kept the injectors in the standard location as this is know.
