The original bike had a torque converter on the end on the crank.

On the other end was a sprocket and chain to rear wheel.
The original bike had no clutch or gearbox hence the soft starts.

When he was doing a burnout the rear wheels must have been doing 200mph

The new bike with have a clutch .6 speed gearbox, and flat shifter.

With wheels bars and hard starts.

:thumbright:

Q. Controls Left hand is clutch right is throttle and front brake.

But how do you do the rear brake. Q.Set up on the same lever as the front or another leaver ?????????

A thumb lever for the rear brake, setting up a linked braking system on a tyre with so much traction compared to the front would be impossible.
Have you checked with the sanctioning bodies and the track safety teams that you'll be able to run it? Just a thought Will :thumbright:

Thumb lever can stil operate a hydraulic system Will, loads of racers have used em over the years so it won't be hard to set up mate.
Only mentioned the track Gestapo just incase............ don't want you to spend some hours and learn to ride it to be told you can't run it at say Shakey where everything gets scrutineered. Can't see it being an issue seeing as how its got history and been campaigned before :thumbright:

Would certainly check with the tracks you intend to run it,I know the promoter up here as a real problem with kids in junior dragsters,in case one gets injured/killed,I kinda see his point, wouldnt look too good on the news.

By the way,I wouldnt get on that sukka for a million quid

no you mis-understand

it looks Bananarama! terrifying

few passes at 30 40,50 60 ,70 mph in order first

becasue you'll look really odd if you are only 2 foot tall

least in that position you can tense your legs and buttocks to ward off the tunnel vision

might stop your nutsack from billowing out behind like a parachute

and fergodsake keep you mouth shut otherwise you'lll do a 1/4 mile fart

If my memory can be relied upon...
The original warrior stopped racing due a rule change which effectively outlawed it. I can't see you'd have a problem in run-wot-u-brung though?
It had a ground-effect system, basically a reverse hovercraft. A skirt around the area under the motor with an engine-driven fan sucking the air out of it, creating a vacuum to stick the whole machine to the ground. Better traction and anti-wheelie!
No-one will believe you...

I wondered about that Paul, nevertheless, if Will goes for this I think a very close look at aerodynamics is in order.

If they allow this to run down the track I'm sure you will be fine

Martin said he wouldn't fancy riding it as he doesn't fancy wearing his chin down to a stump on the tarmac! :D
