Fantastic work as usual Dave, I would try your rear light clusters in direct sunlight. My original tail lights had been modified by cutting a couple of the red lenses out and gluing Amber lenses in their place. Although it was a reasonable idea which worked, I wanted to try to get back to the all red lights its supposed to have.
I found a pair decent lenses in the States and luckily they survived the journey across the pond. Now I just had to get an Amber light to shine through them
Tried Amber led...nope, tried green led...worked but too dim, eventually I managed to get hold of a couple of green incandescent bulbs...these work with a definite difference in colour I think to the stop/tails
