Re: Lots of Love Needed (A Tall Order)
Finished my clean up and overhaul of the transmission this afternoon. Had a little snag the other week when I split a seal but Mr Watts came to the rescue and sourced a replacement
I guess at some point soon I'll have to fab a run up jig, bolt the engine and transmission together and see if it all works
Here's some photos,

Back on the boat and it looks like it's going to be a good crossing. This is the first time I haven't brought any welding gear with me, Charger update pictures will follow at some point.

Re: Lots of Love Needed (A Tall Order)
Update time, spent the Saturday doing a test alignment of the front panels and setting door gaps ready for final fitting. Monday was final fix day and the front is now seam sealed and bolted up. The shell is mostly in zinc primer and the underside almost ready for stonechip, just the front corners of the floor pans to seamseal and that can be done.
It's now beginning to look, and also feels like we're going get it back on the road.

That would be nice but with the distance involved I doubt that'll happen

I only had to travel 20 feet from the back door to the garage not visit an adjacent country!

Arrived home 7am this morning after getting off the ferry at 6pm yesterday, had a 2 1/2hr kip at Shap to avoid getting back at 3am and freaking the wife out
Not much has changed in the way it looks in photos.
So after a couple of small wedding repairs to the hood and trunk the bodywork is done save for the filler work. There is still a small weld needed on the K Frame around a mounting Bush hole but thats it.
The rear valance and the quarter panel end caps have been fitted and the filling and block sanding have been started. One thing that really struck me about the Charger and I only really noticed once we started sanding is how curvy this generations body lines are.
Oh and all the yellow is gone
right I'm off for a little nap.

Knowing the effort that went into welding just a few panels into my old 66 Fury, I am in total awe at the work you are doing and the progress you are making....FANTASTIC WORK. Very impressive indeed....keep it coming,
