Thanks for the comments :thumbright:

Been tininkering away this week trying to get some small jobs finished off before taking it to Stars & Stripes in just over a week. One to check of the list was the lower door cards. When I got the Charger it had some speakers butchered it the doors and since I'd replaced both doors I had no inclination to cut chunks out of them. This left me with wondering how to hide the holes in the door cards.
One of my colleagues at work suggested just fitting dummy grills, great idea.

£5.99 for a pair of 8" grills of ebay, 2 x circles of laminate underlay sprayed black and voila :thumbright:

sometimes the simple solutions are right in front of us, but we 'can't see the wood for the trees'. :thumbright:

Yes I was thinking all kind of ideas but none I felt I'd be happy with. This was the simplest and neatest. :)

Seems a sensible quick and cheap fix.

Can't believe it's almost a year since the last update. There's been the odd job done here and there but mostly I've just been driving it.
Since we're having a nice spell of weather I decided to take it apart again, well just took the seats out :)
Today's job was fit the sound deadening which has been in the garage since last autumn and then hopefully follow that with the new carpet tomorrow.

I like the fact that you’ve left the steering lock on, in case someone sits on the floor and drives it away. :D ;)

Hope you get the carpet I tomorrow, great day for a test cruise. :thumbright:

Did you manage to get the carpet in, Dave?

Just about Stu... ended up going down my own rabbit hole
It just needs a little bit more trimming at the firewall so it sits better BUT once it was in the door cards, seat backs, panels, etc. looked even more faded, so out they all came for a little blow over to freshen them up.
Also I've never been entirely happy with the Sail panels since I did them so they're coming out tonight.
Just got to get it all back together for Sundays Coffee & Chrome :D

no photo of it all in because after being at it all weekend by 4:30pm yesterday I'd had enough, packed everything away and went for a beer.
My fingers are shredded and I've burnt my head.

 I feel your pain! And I share your burned head. It affects all of us with the corporate club hair-do… :D

These rabbit holes get everywhere. Hope you have it all done for the weekend. :thumbright:

don't know how you did the seat fixing holes in the carpet, but a soldering iron from below works great. no frayed carpet wound round a drill bit and the hole is sealed (melted together) as you go. :thumbright:
neil.
