If the exhaust is restrictive (if it’s less than 3” I suspect it will be) then cut outs should free up some HP. They would need to be at least the diameter of the header collectors and the capped type rather than the electric noise makers.

Hod rod Drags didn’t exactly go to plan yesterday. Ran a new PB of 11.30 on the first run which was fantastic. Second run ended abruptly as the front prop yoke let go on launch. Never mind, got all winter to upgrade to something a bit more suitable.

I guess the prop loop earned its keep. Did Chrysler do a more HD version or will it be aftermarket? Did the wheelie catch you out?

Yep prop loop did exactly what it’s supposed to do. I knew the stock greasable 7260 joints were something of a fuse but it looks like the yoke gave way first. I’ll use aftermarket yokes front and rear and Hemi sized 1350 joints next. Car has been pulling the wheels ever since the 408 went in but this was higher and longer than usual so I knew it was going to be a fast run.

Added a couple of spring clamps to the front section of the rear springs to make them as stiff as possible…

Is that just a bid to keep the front end down?

No it’s to Cut down on flex which should help 60ft consistency.

Not been lurking on mma for a while, first thread I have checked - Car looks outstanding blue, so good. :thumbright:

70 challenger is my bucket list Mopar number one closely followed by a Barracuda half as good as this.
